To The Ends of The Earth

More than 50 landscape paintings of the Arctic and Antarctic created by prominent 19th and 20th century Western artists were brought together for the first time in PEM's captivating exhibition, To the Ends of the Earth, Painting the Polar Landscape. Painted primarily between 1835 and 1935, the works in the exhibition were from an age of exploration when travel to the Earth's polar regions was a daring and dangerous endeavor.
