Secrets of Old Dartmouth

 by Kathleen Ryan Comiskey Roberts

Ms. Roberts' book titled Secrets of Old Dartmouth, was written by Kathleen Ryan Comiskey Roberts, back in 1959, and published in paperback for use in the Dartmouth Public Schools in 1963. The book provides readers with a vivid account of life in "Old Dartmouth" (Dartmouth, New Bedford, Westport, Fairhaven, Acushnet, and parts of Rhode Island) dating back to the 1600's. The book is wonderfully educational, and a must-read for anyone who enjoys learning about Colonial Massachusetts history.
