The beautiful silver luster of Alpaca usually maintains itself but can slightly oxidize over time. Many of our clients love the delicate patina Alpaca will achieve through oxidation. Alpaca is made  of a combination of Copper, Nickel, Brass and Zinc. They have different ratios of these metals to create the Silver hue in Alpaca. Because they are composed of these types of metals we DO NOT recommend using silver polish on either Alpaca or Tumbaga. Doing so will result in the metals permanent tarnishing and discoloration.
